Okay, so for the last day of this incarnation of material week, I believed I’d show something made up … I gotten this material on eBay, I’m quite sure, a decision based solely on that color green. I like that shade of green.
Of course, just like all material I gotten in 2006, it was meant to be part of a Duro dress. I might never discover anything to match that raisin-y brown, though, as well as I believed matching the pink or the eco-friendly would be as well Lilly Pulitzer. So it sat in my material wardrobe (which is not of Tardis-like proportions, in spite of rampant conjecture in the comments, however is quite darn close) for a while.
Then I needed some material to “test” a new pattern — this is in truth the bodice from one pattern as well as the skirt from another; I’d show the pictures however I can’t discover them, arrgh — as well as believed of this stuff. The concept was the pattern would be SO hectic that any type of bobbles in the building wouldn’t show.
Of course, I wasn’t able to match the big medallions ideal on the bodice:
But the pockets turned out fine (they’re curved!):
Despite the lots of problems of this gown (the facings like to turn out, in spite of virtually supergluing them down, as well as for some reason I got a poor spool of thread so the seams are weak as well as regularly requirement repair) it’s really exceptionally wearable. The pockets are just the ideal size as well as the bodice is extremely comfortable (it’s the exact same bodice as this dress). In fact, I’m believing of making this once again however in red with white polka dots …
