a number of of you (Emily, Mel) have sent me links to this artist, Liz Tran, over the last few weeks — say thanks to you extremely much! Of program I like her work.
There’s a great post about the artist as well as her work here. I particularly liked this bit:
She’s even painted gowns she desired however couldn’t afford, like a red strapless taffeta number with gigantic white polka dots. “After I offered the painting, I gotten the dress,” states a victorious Tran.
Now that’s a lady after my own heart. as well as I like the concept of trading a representation of a thing for the thing itself … picture going as much as a hot pet dog cart as well as trading a sketch of a hot pet dog for something warm as well as covered in mustard. It’s just so intellectually satisfying!
Tran’s art isn’t extremely costly — the greatest ones seem to run only about $700 — so if you have an art jones this would be a great away to satisfy it!
